Celebrate Tour De Yorkshire [Newsletter 28/04/17]

Enjoy the Tour De Yorkshire on Sunday!
The children are so looking forward to it – look out for our banners.
Some of our children are very proud to have been chosen to ride in at the finish- around 3.45pm.  Look out for them.

And, by the way,  watch the Battle of Britain Spitfire fly across the valley at 2.37pm!

Congratulations to Declan Smith, Year 6, for his prizewinning flag design for the Tour De Yorkshire!
Declan was presented with his prize by the Mayor of Stocksbridge and he is now the proud owner of a personalised sweatshirt – a gift to keep forever.  Well done, Declan.

Family Fun Sunday to celebrate Tour De Yorkshire on Sunday 30 April.

Sponsored Bike Ride in aid of Children’s Hospital.

On Wednesday, Mrs Beaumont with Tammy Green, Joey Crofts and Will Crockett cycled 12.5 miles in total through Wortley to Penistone.  The ride was organised by Craig Malkin from Links and gave awareness of Sunday’s Tour De Yorkshire.  The children came back covered in mud with big smiles on their faces!  Please sponsor them generously – it was a great effort for these ten-year old children!  Pick up a sponsor form from the office or just send a donation.  Many thanks.

Important Information!  Due to a water leak, the driveway around St Ann’s Church on Haywood Lane will be dug out for investigation on Tuesday 2 May and perhaps for longer.  There will be limited access to church.  We apologise for the inconvenience and please do take care.

Milk for the Summer Term.

The cost of milk for the Summer  term up to 21 July will be £10 per child.  Please order by Friday 5 May, using the reply slip.  PS.  If your child is now aged five, milk money is now payable.
