There will be no Proud to Be Me next week due to the Sponsored Walk on Friday 6 Oct. This annual event is organised by SAFFA and raises vital funds for the school.  Children will be back in school for lunch.  Even if it rains, we will still be out there so please send your child to school with a warm coat and sensible, weatherproof footwear!

Meet and Greet.  Tuesday 3 October from 4.30 to 5.30pm.  Parents, you are warmly invited to come along for an hour to meet our staff and become acquainted with new faces – both parents and staff.   If you have any questions, now is the time to ask. Refreshments will be served.


Older Persons’ Awareness Day at Fox Valley on Sunday 1st October, 11am to 3pm (sponsored by Stocksbridge Town Council).  Bring the whole family along for a day of entertainment, free tasting from Wiltshire Foods, reflexology, face painting, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, sensational singing from Stevie Moore and much, much  more!



  • Milk:  If you have paid for your children’s milk this term, please would you remind them to drink it!  There seems to be an awful lot of leftover milk each day.
  • Flu Vaccinations will be administered by NHS staff (nasal spray) on Tuesday 3 October after lunch (Reception and Years 1, 2, 3 and 4).
  • Harvest Celebration on Monday 9 October at 9am.  Advance Notification!  The Cathedral Archer Project (for the homeless in Sheffield) has appealed for donations at harvest time.     A list of urgently-required foodstuffs is overleaf so, prior to our celebration on 9 October, please could you begin to put these things to one side.   • Harvest at the Christian Centre on Cedar Rd, Sunday 8 October at 10.30am.

The Saints Alive Puppet Theatre is doing a programme based on giving to the world – a fun filled morning for children of all ages!  Refreshments will be served.


Please note the following changes:  Liturgy for Years 5 and 6 will now be held on Thursday

26 October, swapping with Year 2, whose Liturgy will now take place on 16 November.
