Children follow the ‘Come and See’ scheme of work, as prescribed by the Catholic diocese of Hallam.
This scheme includes scripture, doctrine and liturgy as well as spiritual and moral development, within the traditions of the Catholic Church, but with the chance to study other world faiths.
At St Ann’s we like the religious ethos of the school to permeate the whole of the curriculum and the life of the school, rather than being just an academic subject.
Every week on a Wednesday your child will receive ‘The Wednesday Word’ leaflet, an opportunity for you to share Sunday’s Gospel with your family.
Here you will also find the website which links to The Wednesday Word page. This offers a variety of children’s activities and also further reading for adults.
See our most recent Religious Education policy here to find out what your child will be learning about other faiths.
Providing pupils with the ability to worship God and consider moral issues while exploring and discovering their own beliefs.
